Happiness Project - Day 37

Monday's Unblues

1. Meaning, it's actually quite a nice day today, despite it being a Monday. Sure, I struggled a bit upon waking up, but things were busy in the office the time seemed to just pass quickly. Feeling productive!
2. Went back with my dear colleague Sophia and she dropped me home. Too bad 'Eenie Meenie' wasn't playing on the radio!
3. Watched Capitalism with the gang at home and I was really, really impressed. Engaging and funny, and really, really sarcastic.

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

Happiness Project - Day 36

Chilling Sunday

1. Enjoyed great fried rice with mushroom for lunch while watching Arrested Development. Season three!
2. Received some good news from someone. Will fill you in with the details once everything is confirmed.
3. Paid my phone bills, which is a good thing, right? ;)
4. Today marks the end of the long weekend, it's time to slave away and make some money again!

I am one of those who never knows the direction of my journey until I have almost arrived.

My prayers are with you.

Today I received a bad news about a dear friend of mine. His father just passed away, and I'm not saying I understand fully how he feels, but I can somewhat relate. And I just feel an overwhelming sense of sadness about what he's going through.

As if the death of a loved one is not devastating enough, I remember after it happened, just like a whirlwind, we still have to deal with a lot of administrative stuffs. That was the worst. From the hospital, we went straight to the funeral home and had everything arranged for the wake sessions. We didn't even have time to stop and feel what's just happened.

Anyway, it's not about me. My thoughts are gonna be with my dear friend. I know I'm not the praying type these days, but I am going to pray for you and your family. Please be strong. I guess we can only take comfort in believing that our dad, our mom who passed away, are in better place right now. That's all we have to believe.

Bintan Revisited

So I haven't really blogged about my family trip to Bintan last weekend, life has been quite a handful. But I've just gotten the pictures from my sis' camera so the good memories are flooding back again!

Anyway, the reason why we went to Bintan in the first place was first of all because Sis won a free stay at Bintan Lagoon Resort from her company as a reward for her excellent work! Yeah, she's been doing a great job there, and unlike other companies (ehem ehem), hers really make sure the employees feel appreciated. So she got a free room for two nights and we thought why not ask our Dad to join too and make this a family vacation? It's been ages since we had that. In fact, I can't remember the last time. Ever since our mom passed away, family vacation has been the least on our thoughts, but I think it's important now that we do it sometimes.

So we booked another room since they wouldn't allow 5 people to stay in only 1 room. And my sister and I took a day of leave on Friday and set out to Bintan until Sunday!

The ferry was super clean, and throughout the journey the television was playing Mickey Mouse cartoon. Not exactly engaging, but it was at least something to look at. The trip by ferry only took an hour or so.

After we arrived at the Bintan Ferry Terminal and got through Immigration, we were taken to a bus which would take us to the resort.

And this was what greeted us there. Some four dancers came out and danced to the local music played by these local musicians. It was quite nice, and we were given welcome drinks also. The check-in was fast, and we settled in our room.

To sleep? Don't you always goof around in the bed everytime you stay in a hotel, though?

We then went for lunch at an Indonesian-Chinese fusion restaurant in the resort. The fried rice was heavenly! That first day Dad wanted to see a friend of his in the city, so we rented a car and drove to Bintan city, which took 3 hours of commuting! I think the main difference was, well, in the resort we pay everything by Singapore Dollars still, and in the city, it was more resembling Indonesia. You'd find local food and small shops at the side of the streets selling corn, satay and meatballs and we use Rupiahs! Home sweet home. ;)

While waiting for Dad talking to his friend, we were outside goofing around and taking pictures.

See? The familiar sight of meatball seller on the street. None you can see in Singapore, but a sight of this, and you know you're home. (Well, if you're Indonesian like me. Duh.)

After we got back, we didn't do much of anything since it was already late! We just relaxed in our hotel room, and oh, we did buy some Padang food in the city so we had that for dinner.

The next day, we woke up early for breakfast and then it was water sport time! We tried out banana boat and also jetski which was such a rush! It was really awesome being outdoor and near the sea!

The restaurant / chilling area from the outside.

Palm trees and blue sky! We couldn't take pictures while we were jet skiing 'cos the camera shouldn't be wet! Quite bummed out that there weren't any pictures, but hey, it's all in here anyway, right? (pointing to the brain) Alright, that was dorky. We spent the entire morning and afternoon playing in the sea and came back to the room feeling energized but exhausted!

At night we had dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant, played footsie at the recreational room, had karaoke and watched telly until we fell asleep. It was a great day!

Food! Food! Glorious food!

On Sunday we had breakfast early and headed to the beach to take some pictures.

The weather was great when we were there. The day we were playing in the water, it wasn't so sunny, it was a little cloudy even, so that was great. On Sunday, it was way too hot outside, you can tell it from the pictures. So we thought, "wow, thank goodness we were doing all the sports yesterday, otherwise I would have been burnt to crisp!"

So at about 11 am, we boarded the bus back to the ferry terminal and headed home to Singapore. I know it was a short trip, but it was great and I'm glad we did it. :) So 'til next time!

Happiness Project - Day 34-35

3. Went to town and tried out this Indonesian cafe at Somerset, which supposedly is really good. They actually sell martabak! In case you don't know, martabak is one of my favorite food. I'm actually quite impressed, although it's still not as good as the one I have back in Indo, it's quite authentic and delicious!
4. "Baby Let Me Sing You A Song" really cheers me up at night! What do you think of it as my wedding song, people?

Take me to Boston. ;)

Happiness Project - Day 33

1. Filling in media role today for work 'cos the media person just left the company. I was much busier, but if I have to take the positive, at least time passed faster that way!
2. Had nice catch-up dinner with Jeremy. I haven't seen him in a few months! So it was great seeing him again, we should do our usual tiger-session next time.
3. It's the Idol finale tonight, and the show was packed up with great performances! It was more of a tribute to Simon than the actual finale show. But the montages they put of Simon were so funny!
4. Congratulations, Lee!

5. It's Thursday night! It's the long weekend! I can't be happier!

Wednesday, 26 May 2010

Cory Monteith. I have a thing for tall guys, really. ;)

Happiness Project - Day 28-30

22 May 2010

1. Came back from work on time and took a ride from my dear colleague from office to home, which means I saved about an hour of otherwise commuting time by train!

2. Went for BBQ at Sophia’s place and enjoyed good food with good company. Thanks, babe!

3. I invited Wazzy for the BBQ and I finally met up with her after a long time! It was really great catching up and hanging out with her again.

4. Went back quite late and ended up skype-ing with a friend of mine. Went to sleep happy, and even happier that the next day would be Sunday!

23 May 2010

1. Went to the airport to pick up our favorite aunt and uncle and had nice lunch beforehand at a new place at terminal 2 which we’ve never tried before!

2. We came back home and had great talk with our aunt and uncle while watching rerun of Idol. Once again stroke by the gorgeous sight of sparkly-eyed Lee!

3. Had an awesome dinner at Shokudo! We ordered so much from the Caesar salad to sushi to omelets to teriyaki to sukiyaki and man, it was sumptuous!

It has been a great weekend, albeit too short!

24 May 2010

1. It's a new week! I'm keeping my spirit high for this short week of work!

2. Enjoyed a nice dinner with my aunt and uncle, sis and cous. Family time is just priceless.

3. Lil' sis is coming home today, and I'm excited for this week to end!

You do what you love, and f*** the rest. :)

Family and Happiness Project - Day 28

1. So it’s been a while since I really update this blog. You think my happiness project is working? Do I seem like a more positive and happy person these days? Sure, right? Right?

Anyway, I don’t really have much to say aside from the things I’ve already mentioned in previous posts. Work has been challenging yet interesting at the same time. There are times when I love what I do; there are other times when I’m completely over it. Overall, am I happy? Can I get back to you on that?

The best thing about working is just the ability to make your own money. I really feel good about it, not depending on my dad to send me money. On the contrary, I can help out by paying the bills around the house, which is lessening my older sister’s burden since she has to settle other things like, the maintenance fee of our apartment and our day-to-day spending as a whole. I mean, if all of us go together for dinner or do grocery shopping, she’s still the one paying. Can I just say how incredibly lucky I am to have this family?

During the first few months of my job, I was stressing over the fact that it took me more than an hour to commute every morning. One time, when one of my colleagues mentioned that he has a vacant room in his HDB, I had a thought that perhaps I could rent out a room to be closer to work. I told my colleagues about it, but every one of them said no. And now, I’m so glad I didn’t.

I mean, there are times when work was so demanding or you’ve had a bad day and the least you want to do is come home to an empty house and feel even more alone. Now, no matter how bad I feel, I always come home to friendly and familiar faces of my sisters who are always there to listen to my whining and offer their most encouraging and uplifting advices. I can’t imagine not having them around. We try to have dinner together every day and talk about our day. In the simplicity of it all, there’s comfort that you would never realize until it’s gone.

I know it sounds a bit cheesy. And you may think, someone my age should be more independent, and probably shouldn’t live with my family anymore. The truth is, yeah, I would want to live alone a few years down the road. Even when I do live alone, I can’t imagine not being close to my sisters. And I realize that not many people can say the same about their siblings.

Alright, enough mushiness. Generally, this week has been nice. And I’m so happy it’s almost weekend! Tomorrow is still work day for me, though. But I’m keeping my spirit high!

2. Met up with Ripple and Jason for dinner at Marche, and I had a really good time! They were incredibly nice and friendly people, even though Ripple and I have just met once before. Girl! So glad we met up!

I’d tell everybody to pursue your passion. Those who have passions, we are the lucky ones. If you like painting, for God’s sake, paint. if you like writing, write.

Happiness Project - Day 27

1. Lee is so cute! I'm watching him now on Idol. Seriously, he has the most amazing eyes. They really sparkle! Haha..

2. Started watching Alias again! It's still as awesome as ever, third season now!

3. Does a girl need a reason to be happy, really? ;)

Up to little good

Yeay Russell!

This week is a great television week! With the Survivor finale and American Idol top three performance! I feel like such a geek. Well..what's new? Well, Russell made it to the end, and although he didn't win, he won the Player of the Season for the second time! Ah, he's the best Survivor to ever play the game lah!

Anyway, I'm just kinda rambling here. I'm feeling hopeful and excited about life now! I think I have to make some important decisions in the near future and I'm excited yo!

So..I'll blog more about my trip to Bintan with pictures soon! But I'm watching Idol now. Go Lee!

Wednesday, 19 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 26

1. Had our favorite prawn noodles for lunch!
2. Good time at the office ;)
3. Hung out with my good colleague after work.
4. Watched Survivor Finale with Sis and Cous during dinner, and so happy that Russell made it to the end. Even though he didn't win, to me, he's still the sole survivor and the best player ever! And he won the Player of The Season for the second time!
5. During American Idol, I was so transfixed by Lee's glistening and sparkling eyes. I don't think I've ever seen eyes that sparkle before, but Lee's are! Crystal and Lee for the final 2 :)

No matter how confused you make me feel, at least you make me smile. I guess that counts.

Tuesday, 18 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 25

1. Had an overall nice day at the office. I'm relieved we're done with the previous event, no more daily articles! Haha.. Now we're moving on to another 1,001 things to do...
2. Going back with my good friend and colleague. The sky was so cloudy when we went off from the office, but it didn't rain when she dropped me home. I take that as a good sign. It's not everyday I'm on good terms with the weather.
3. Enjoyed nice time at night watching telly and caught up with youtube videos I've been missing.
4. Just downloaded Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber - Eenie Meenie. My current feel-good anthem! Haha. Probably more of a guilty pleasure!

Now tell me if you like the Glee boys! ;)

-from Forrest Gump

I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're just floating around accidental-like on a breeze. But I think maybe it's both. Maybe both are happening at the same time.

Monday, 17 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 24

1. Got to wake up a little bit later than normal because I went to company's event today.
2. Spent time with my good friend at the event, which is always nice.
3. My dad accompanied me throughout the event and I was deeply touched, actually. Haha..
4. It's 10 pm and I'm going to bed soon. Bliss!

Sunday, 16 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 20-23

1. I spent the last three days in Bintan with my family! It was such a great trip, and it was awesome being away from the city into the peacefulness of the nature and the great ocean. I definitely was in my element!

We tried out jetski and banana boat and we swam at the sea, spent time singing at the karaoke lounge, playing midnight foosball, tried out various different restaurants in the resort, took great pictures, relaxed at night in our resort room watching 'Survivor' and Discovery Channel, and most importantly, spent fun time together as a family. I can't remember the last time all of us really went on a holiday together. It was really great.

Even though my body's all sore now (result of being so unfit), and my butt hurts like mad, I am so glad we had that trip together, and I'm gonna post the pictures later on! :)

Don’t you think it’s better to be extremely happy for a short while, even if you lose it, than to be just okay for your whole life?

Thursday, 13 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 19

1. Yeay, it's Thursday! My last day of work this week!
2. Felt very productive at work, accomplished lots of stuffs! It's a busy day, but a good kind of busy, you know?
3. Went back with my friend, and she dropped me at Newton while I cheerfully made my way back home thinking of the great weekend ahead!
4. Sitting here blogging, still feeling over the moon. I know I should start packing soon, but I'm just gonna do it like I always do: at the very last minute.
5. So excited of the getaway to Bintan! I am so going to relax and be pampered!

Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness, and just be happy. :)

Wednesday, 12 May 2010

Wuteva!

You can’t always control the circumstances in life, but you can control your attitude toward those circumstances.

Just want to say, I'm not letting you get to me. I think you are very mean, and if you choose to be a bitter and unhappy person, it's your choice and I don't care. It just gives me more reasons to dislike you.

Happiness Project - Day 18

1. Wore my pink dress today and it made me feel good! The color matched my cheerful mood in the morning.
2. Although my mood changed drastically in the evening, I was glad the day was over and I met my friend for nice dinner and sinful dessert.
3. Came home to the comforting, familiar sight of my dad and family. I wouldn't trade them for anything, and I love living with them!
4. 2 more days 'til Bintan!

The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you.

Tuesday, 11 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 16 & 17

10 May 2010
1. Dad came on Monday night and all of us had our favorite lomie dishes that Dad brought from Jakarta. I miss my old man!
2. I finished the book 'One Day' and loved the ending! Looking forward for the next trip to the bookstore for a new read.

11 May 2010
1. It's a nice work day today because uhm, the boss wasn't around so I could do my job peacefully! *chuckle*
2. Sis borrowed the second season of Arrested Development in DVD! Awesome, we love the show! Michael Cera looked older than the first season, hunkier and still geeky as ever.
3. 2 more working days 'til our trip to Bintan!
4. Came across this really beautiful quote at the end of 'One Day'.

You're gorgeous, you old hag, and if I could give you just one gift ever for the rest of your life it would be this. Confidence. It would be the gift of confidence. Either that or a scented candle.

Sunday, 9 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 14 & 15

It's the weekend! The things that made me happy:

1. My amazing skyline poster is finally up!

I'm so in love with it. :)

2. Cous cooked this really nice soup (with potato, pasta, macaroni, carrot, chicken, sausages,.. drooling yet?) for dinner.

3. Went for movie with a friend and saw Iron Man 2. It's really good! To be honest, I still like Kick Ass better, but Iron Man is definitely entertaining, plus Robert Downey Jr is just really, really, really cool in there.

4. Had a nice talk and a cocktail or two at Tapas Tree afterwards. We walked all the way from Marina Square to Clarke Quay! To me, that was a personal achievement. Definitely made for the record book. ;)

5. Watched the second season of Survivor on youtube while having lunch this afternoon, which was a total pleasure. Food and television are such understatement pleasures in life.

6. Went for a shopping spree at City Hall with Sis! We wanted to look for nice swimsuits and beach wear for our Bintan getaway next weekend, but of course, we ended up buying totally different things. Sis got a jacket and a dress, I got a top, casual dress and shoes. Totally no beach wear and definitely no swimsuits. Nevertheless, I'm happy! Shopping does that to people.

7. We had this really fantastic Japanese food dinner at this fancy restaurant in Suntec. Tried many kinds of yakitori, salad, beef steak, and others. Man, that was a good dinner!

8. Came across this song, 'Something Good Can Work' by Two Door Cinema Club and now it's stuck in my head and it's making me happy!

You can turn off the sun, but I'm still gonna shine.

Friday, 7 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 13

1. Back to work today! (Alright, this made me happy because I was restless being sick at home for 2 days.) See, I can be positive!

2. It's good to see my wonderful colleagues again! And today we're celebrating the birthdays of two persons in the office! There are five May babies, so we kinda include all five into one and enjoy a nice blueberry chocolate cake.

3. Met up with Sis and Cous for dinner at this new place at JP. Chinese food restaurant and their food was surprisingly yummy! I liked the pork rice and saba fish!

4. I just realized that I'm so lucky having a guy in the house. I mean, I'm so hopeless in almost all things domestic. On top of my mind, I remember not being able to open a glass of wine, a can of Maling or lychee sirup, a bottle of newly-purchased shampoo, and even just a packet of potato chips! It's so easy that I only have to turn around and ask for help from my cousin. Tonight, he demonstrated once again why I wouldn't be applying for Survivor anytime soon. As you know, my dear friend has gotten me this amazing San Francisco skyline poster and I have even bought those hooks thingy to hang the poster up in my room. However, the next problem arose because I realized I had no idea how to use these hooks. Even if I did, I wouldn't have trusted my own judgment to place them at the right positions (is it straight? Too low? Too high?) So my cousin came to the rescue and helped me measure and put the hooks on the wall. Yeay! Now all I have to do is wait for an hour before hanging my gorgeous poster! Yeay for having a guy in the house!

5. Survivor tonight! Go Russell!

Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.

Thursday, 6 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 12

1. I feel a lot better than yesterday. I think I may have slept too much too, but I'm blaming in on the drugs rather than my own pigginess.
2. Realizing that tomorrow is gonna be better than today.
3. Having the support from my friends, I can't stress how lucky I am to have them!
4. Reading into page 238 of 'One Day', it's such a well-written story! Enjoying it so far.

You must learn to take the good with the bad, the happy with the sad, love what you’ve got and remember what you had. Learn to forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change and things go wrong, but you just have to remember that life goes on.

- From the novel Beastly

I love you, I thought.
But I didn’t say it. It was not that I feared she would laugh in my face. She was too kind for that. My fear was a greater one- that she wouldn’t say it back.

Wednesday, 5 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 11

I'm still gonna count my blessings today although I'm sick.
1. Had nice porridge on my way to the doctor this afternoon. The mask they made me wear was kinda funny. (Sorry, these two sentences have nothing to do with one another at all.)
2. I spent most of the day sleeping, and now I'm feeling kinda wooeey and dizzy. (Perhaps that's the drugs talking.) It's probably a good thing I could catch up on some sleep.
3. My friend's advice: "You can't be letting your job, stress etc get in the way of your friendships." It's probably true. I have been neglecting my friends because I was too fed up with work. To my friends who are reading, I'm sorry. I promise I will try harder.
4. You, for making me smile.

Tuesday, 4 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 10

It's not as easy listing down this list today, but in the midst of all the craziness that is work, I'm still grateful that I have...

1. YOU. Yeah, you. Thank you for understanding and listening patiently to my whining and not saying things like "Jaysus. Chill out" when I was in such a deep stress this evening. Yeah, you know things can be tough sometimes; you sympathize, but at the end of it telling me that there's nothing I can't bounce back from and I'll make this through.

2. Nicky! (Let's just call him that, because well, that's his name.) Thanks for the back and forth office-rants. Oh, the news update every morning really cracks me up. He feeds me news because I don't regularly read newspaper.

Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

Monday, 3 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 9

1. YOU and the amazing SF skyline poster that you got me!

This tops the cake.

If you think about it, your favorite memories, the most important moments in your life. Were you alone? Life's better with company.

Sunday, 2 May 2010

Happiness Project - Day 8

1. Watched a couple more episodes of Arrested Development and I lost counts on how many times I burst out laughing! It's so hilarious and superbly written!

2. Finished my article for the day (yes, despite weekend, I still had to submit my writings), but I managed to get it done.
3. Went to see Kick Ass in the evening. Gosh, I've been wanting to see this for a while, and I was so excited to finally do it. And it was awesome! Really, really good, funny, cool, silly, heartfelt. And the soundtrack was really good. That Hit Girl character is the coolest, haha!

4. Finally got to get you another postcard :)
5. Ate KFC egg-tart for supper. Hmm, yummy!
6. Just want to post some random pictures.

Look at this really cute coaster. Guinness is like the God for the Irish. If you know the band, The Script, in one of their song the lyrics go like, "It was Dublin City on a Friday night, you were vodkas and coke, I was Guinness all night.." which I thought was really funny and awesome. 'Nyway, random bits there.

Upon seeing this, my sister was like, "Eh, I didn't know what the point of actually having to tilt it 45 degrees and what's with all these techniques.." and I was like, "Um, I think it's just for the presentation, people like it if their beer is all foamy and it looks more appealing!" To which she replied, "Huh? I don't think I like drinking the foamy part! It's yucky!" Well, so people, enlighten me please. Is it really just for the presentation of it, or is there some rationale, functional use for having to pour it in a certain way?

My first drink of the night. Vodka with lychee juice, and it actually tasted really good! Although for the life of me I couldn't tell if they really did put the vodka in or not.

Sorry, just a random picture. One evening I just decided to try putting blue eye shadow. Sis just got this eye-palette with 98 colors, imagine! Anyway, I couldn't decide if it looked good or not, but I liked it. Probably not to be worn outside, I would probably scare some kids away.

And this was when we went for a wine-tasting in Wine Mansion. My friend worked there, and she invited me to bring some friends so I brought my lovely colleagues. It was a nice evening, I wasn't an expert in wine, but we were taught how to appreciate wine, how to look at the color and hold the glass properly, and things like that. We tried out four different wines that night, and there was also a buffet spread. In the end, I bought a sparkling wine, and I really liked it. I recommend it if you guys are interested. Their prices are affordable too!

Alright, until next time, folks! :) Good night and stay happy!

Saturday, 1 May 2010

Dude, where's my money?!

Don't you ever wonder how you spend your money sometimes? I mean, one day I feel rich! (obviously because it's the end of the month and I just got my paycheck) And then two weeks later, you check your account and suddenly almost two third of it already gone. And you try to recall what you have done and bought during those period of time, oh sure, there was those few drinks after work, there were some shoppings done, movies watched, cabs taken, but surely those couldn't possibly amount to your two thirds of salary gone in just two weeks?

Well, welcome to the club. If you ever feel that way, then we're in the same boat, mate. Let's hold hands and wish ourselves luck.

I've been trying to save since I started working, because there are lots of things I want to do. The number one being, travelling. I mean, this is the world we're talking about! Alright, you get the gist. I have the passion but not the vessel! (vessel? Have I been watching too much drama?)

So I think I ought to do something. I don't know what, yet. Ehm. My sister said I should open another bank account to save some money there that I must not use. Because don't you think that when you know you have money, you will always spend it? I mean, it doesn't matter whether you need something or not, you miraculously will just find ways to spend it. Isn't that amazing? Eh, actually not.

Like, suddenly, I'm like, "Hey, I need another manicure and pedicure. Hey, while I'm at it, why don't I try getting this super cute nail moisturizer?" Alright, that was bimbotic. Extreme example, okay? Or, like "Hey, I suddenly see myself in the mirror and don't like what I see, so I need a makeover. Why don't I dye my hair blonde? While I'm at it, why don't I also get 1,001 make-up products? I haven't had this color of lipstick, have I?" Another example!

It's a vicious cycle! Especially when it comes to taking cabs and eating out all the time! Have I told you, I spent like, 43 bucks on a cab last week? Just because I thought that was the smart thing to do. After all, it was raining and I was grumpy because of work. Well yeah. Lesson of the day? Don't try to act smart.

So perhaps I ought to try that. Hee. Wish me luck! Hey, aren't we all in this together? Good luck to you too!

Horoscope Today and Happiness Project - Day 7

Capricorn

You might want to escape for a while today and it's actually a good idea. You spend enough time handling business and being responsible in your day-to-day life. Now, if you dream about taking time for yourself or going off to play with friends, don't judge yourself harshly. All work and no play isn't a smart way to live; it's healthier to acknowledge your desires and give yourself permission to relax and unwind.

Hmm..I wonder how true this is...
